USP Lee in Virginia



USP Lee is about 25 miles north of Kingsport TN. 

It's pretty much in the middle of NOWHERE.  But its a nice scenic area; unless you are behind the walls and can't see out.

The Travel Inn appears to be the closest place to stay (no other motels in the area).  Its in Duffield Virginia at the intersection of RT 23 and RT 58 about 12 miles from the Prison.  The prison is to the west about 12 miles which is about 2 miles past the place where RT 421 splits off to the north.  There is a McDonalds and  a Hardee's in the area to eat at and not much more.   For any entertainment (movies, etc) you need to go to Kingsport to the south or to Wise, VA to the north, each one is about 25 miles away.

Those are some inmates from the camp who looked like they were walking back to their unit before lunch from their jobs working at the warehouse.
